Apple’s AirPods Max just hit their lowest price of 2021

Generally speaking, it is very easy to find AirPods deals any day of the week. However, deals on Apple’s premium AirPods Max are almost non-existent. But now that Amazon is moving to Prime Day, we’re seeing one of the best Prime Day deals ever.

Amazon currently has the AirPods Max (all colors) on sale for $ 519.99. It’s $ 29 off and the lowest price we’ve seen for them all year.

Apple AirPods Max: was $ 549 now $ 519 @ Amazon
A pair of deluxe noise-canceling headphones, the Apple AirPods Max combine large 40mm drivers with a comfortable memory foam design and a host of smart tech, like 3D Spatial Audio. The sale price applies to all colors. This is the lowest price we’ve seen for Apple’s premium buds all year. See the offer

While this is the first time we’ve seen the AirPods Max on sale for 2021, it’s not their first price drop. Just days before Christmas, TigerDirect slashed AirPods Max by $ 49. It was a very rare and short-lived affair.

AirPods Max come in a range of fun colors. They feature swivel ear cups covered with oval shaped memory foam pillows, which create a spongy and secure seal around your ears.

In our AirPods Max review, we found that Apple’s headphones sound great. The regular bassline of Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble” rang deep, and we could hear the rapper utter his words with a clarity never seen before. Of course, Sony’s WH-1000XM4s are just as clear, but they don’t offer the same degree of definition.

We were also impressed with Apple’s Spatial Audio. It is basically surround sound for headphones and supports 5.1, 7.1, and Dolby Atmos video content. It uses built-in head tracking to produce sound relative to what you see on screen when watching video on your iPhone or iPad.

Months into our review, we’re still in awe of the active noise canceling from the headphones, which allowed us to catch a few zzzs on our first post-pandemic flight. Yes, they are expensive, but they are the best headphones ever made by Apple.
