Device like OP9, the person will not be taxed by customs more than $ 90.
Businesses pay less import taxes than people.

Samsung 21 Ultra which costs very similar to 13 Pro Max, never had that same initial price there.
But about 50% cheaper than Apple will charge.

Anonymous, 20 minutes agoYou didn’t mention the fact that iOS animations aren’t on par with Samsung and Xiaomi.Samsung’s Android version is the worst I have used, after this s20 I won’t have one anymore, when I use the phone I feel like you are showing the device to the way of a child, but some people really love him god knows why.

So far the only one that was decent for me was the Huawei / Honor UI, but prefer the pixel UI if I’m being honest.

The thing with iphones and it’s really squeaky is the fact that it works. my samsung has done all of this and it is less than a year old

Of course, deprive people of buying your devices because people will “pay what Apple wants”. And don’t put an iPhone in as many pockets as possible when Services are one of your biggest revenue streams. If you really believe this I’m sorry for you

sa11oum, 27 minutes agoYes of course. Why would Apple want to price potential customers by making their ex-phones … moreBecause Apple knows people are greedy and are willing to pay what they want.

While many use the iPhone because they love iOS, many (surely most) consider it cool and sophisticated.
I know someone whose daily driver was a Samsung S9, but he also had an iPhone SE to use in nightclubs.

No chance that import taxes will increase the price by that much.
Taxes should be higher than its retail price.

I read 13 Pro Max 1000 GB for Brazil, it’s almost $ 2,950. While $ 1599 in the United States.
I doubt people pay more than $ 1,350 in taxes.

Anonymous, 31 minutes agoDo you really believe that these are all taxes? MDR ….
Yes of course. Why would Apple want to price potential customers by making their phones extremely expensive? They are already more expensive than the competition to start at their US base price. Their goal is to sell their phones to as many people as possible, and not the other way around.

s895310

Anonymous, 44 minutes agoXDA has a review that says exactly that.Citing the review,
“I’m not saying the ProMotion upgrade is unnecessary – the animations are indeed smoother, but they are enhanced in subtle ways. The difference is not as striking as when comparing a Samsung Galaxy S20 (120 Hz) to a Galaxy S10 (60 Hz). “
You know why? Because iOS is a lot smoother than Android to start with, lol. So of course on Android it looks like a bigger deal as it hides the flaws of the fragmented OS. Not the case on iOS;)

If you think taxes can’t “magically increase the price by hundreds of dollars,” I suggest you educate yourself on this topic.

AnonF-1013367, 42 minutes agoThat’s just for the pro models, the $ 700 and $ 800 iPhones still have the 60hz pedestrian. … moreYeah. Let’s face it, customers of $ 700/800 iPhones don’t know what 120Hz is, or would even see the difference. The people who buy these iPhones are a very different type of customer than Pro customers. I’m not defending Apple for not having it in place, but that’s their line of thinking, and I think it’s absolutely true.
