French mobile phone bills among the world’s lowest average €15 per month

French mobile phone bills are among the lowest in the world, averaging under €15 (€14.60) per month.

This is based on figures from the Autorité des Regulations des electronique communications (ARCEP) regulator. The regulator has confirmed that French Connection prices are among the cheapest in the world.

French mobile tariffs are, on average, three times less than German bills, and five times lower than American passwords.

Also less than half the price of fixed lines and internet passwords are an average of €36.60.

Media figures point to a 10 year turning point, when mobile phone operator Free won the fourth mobile phone license in France, breaking the line between Orange, SFR and Bouygues Telecom Hotel.

At the time, mobile phone tickets were about €40 per month and could easily fluctuate, with heavy charges due to unnecessary limits on small data usage.

Free main offer – €19.99 a month unlimited phone calls up to 3G standard and three megabytes of information – for fixed-range workers.

Even more striking at the time was their lowest “first entry” tariff of €2 per month for two hours of phone calls and unlimited SMS messages.

In a further turmoil, the company is not connected to specific regulations on mobile phones, but urges customers to amend their phones and not have a locked-in device with a single operator.

Both tariffs on the Free Media Offer have remained unchanged, although times have changed – the offer now covers €2 calls made in other EU countries and the offer is now €19.99 for 5G and 150 megabytes.

All other mobile phone workers are designed to operate quickly and offer low-cost for a free account while returning at least a quarter of their accounts.

Orange’s is a low cost brand called Sosh, SFR’s red, and Bouygues Telecom is B&Te.

The authors at first thought that they would take them mainly from younger clients and were amazed by the universal appeals.

The Les Echos newspaper notes, ironically, that it is now trying to move to an upmarket franchise that, soon after the offer was launched with the smartphone-bond, is on contract with rivals that remain on top of the price muscle.
