Parliament passes motion to promote marriage and childbirth

Members of the Iranian parliament have adopted a number of provisions in line with the budget for the next fiscal year (March 2021-2022) to encourage marriage and childbirth.
They approved the granting of home loans worth 1.5 billion rials ($ 5,952) with a repayment period of up to 20 years by the Central Bank of Iran to first-time home buyers who have their third child born in the years ending March 2021 and March 2022.
The CBI is forced to allocate 9 trillion rials ($ 35.71 million) of its resources to this type of loan, ISNA reported.
A total of 4.6 trillion rials ($ 18.25 million) of CBI resources has also been approved for granting home loans to first-time buyers with a maximum repayment period of 10 years, as follows:
– Real estate loans of one billion rials ($ 3,968) to each parent of a family with two children
– Home loans worth 800 million rials ($ 3,174) to each parent of a family with one child
– Home loans worth 500 million rials ($ 1,984) to a woman and her husband.
The CBI was also required to provide matrimonial loans worth 700 million rials ($ 2,777) per partner to people married on or after March 21, 2018, with a repayment period of 10 years. The bank is to increase marriage loans to 1 billion rials for men who marry before the age of 25 and women who marry before the age of 23.
