The end of the general loan moratorium in September raised concerns that people whose incomes are still being cut off due to the pandemic will not be able to repay their loans. Although a moratorium on targeted loans is in place, the National Union of Bank Employees calls on the government to reinstate the general moratorium for low-wage groups and SMEs.
